Give5414 unto us therefore a possession272 among8432 the brethren251 of our father1.¹ 5 And Moses4872 brought7126 their cause4941 before6440 the LORD3068. 6 And the LORD3068 spake559 unto Moses4872, saying559, 7 The daughters1323 of Zelophehad6765 speak1696 right3651: thou shalt surely5414 give5414 them a possession272 of an inheritance5159 among8432 their father's1 brethren251; and thou shalt cause the inheritance5159 of their father1 to pass5674 unto them. 8 And thou shalt speak1696 unto the children1121 of Israel3478, saying559, If a man376 die4191, and have no son1121, then ye shall cause his inheritance5159 to pass5674 unto his daughter1323. 9 And if he have no daughter1323, then ye shall give5414 his inheritance5159 unto his brethren251. 10 And if he have no brethren251, then ye shall give5414 his inheritance5159 unto his father's1 brethren251. 11 And if his father1 have no brethren251, then ye shall give5414 his inheritance5159 unto his kinsman7607 that is next7138 to him of his family4940, and he shall possess3423 it: and it shall be unto the children1121 of Israel3478 a statute2708 of judgment4941, as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872.

12 And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, Get thee up5927 into this mount2022 Abarim5682, and see7200 the land776 which I have given5414 unto the children1121 of Israel3478. 13 And when thou hast seen7200 it, thou also shalt be gathered622 unto thy people5971, as Aaron175 thy brother251 was gathered622. 14 For ye rebelled4784 against my commandment6310 in the desert4057 of Zin6790, in the strife4808 of the congregation5712, to sanctify6942 me at the water4325 before their eyes5869: that is the water4325 of Meribah4809 in Kadesh6946 in the wilderness4057 of Zin6790.

15 And Moses4872 spake1696 unto the LORD3068, saying559, 16 Let the LORD3068, the God430 of the spirits7307 of all flesh1320, set6485 a man376 over the congregation5712, 17 Which may go out3318 before6440 them, and which may go in935 before6440 them, and which may lead them out3318, and which may bring them in935; that the congregation5712 of the LORD3068 be not as sheep6629 which have no shepherd7462. 18 And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, Take3947 thee Joshua3091 the son1121 of Nun5126, a man376 in whom is the spirit7307, and lay5564 thine hand3027 upon him; 19 And set5975 him before6440 Eleazar499 the priest3548, and before6440 all the congregation5712; and give him a charge6680 in their sight5869. 20 And thou shalt put5414 some of thine honour1935 upon him, that all the congregation5712 of the children1121 of Israel3478 may be obedient8085. 21 And he shall stand5975 before6440 Eleazar499 the priest3548, who shall ask7592 counsel for him after the judgment4941 of Urim224 before6440 the LORD3068: at his word6310 shall they go out3318, and at his word6310 they shall come in935, both he, and all the children1121 of Israel3478 with him, even all the congregation5712. 22 And Moses4872 did6213 as the LORD3068 commanded6680 him: and he took3947 Joshua3091, and set5975 him before6440 Eleazar499 the priest3548, and before6440 all the congregation5712: 23 And he laid5564 his hands3027 upon him, and gave him a charge6680, as the LORD3068 commanded1696 by the hand3027 of Moses4872.
