And the singers7891 sang loud8085, with Jezrahiah3156 their overseer6496.¹¹ 43 Also that day3117 they offered2076 great1419 sacrifices2077, and rejoiced8055: for God430 had made them rejoice8055 with great1419 joy8057: the wives802 also and the children3206 rejoiced8055: so that the joy8057 of Jerusalem3389 was heard8085 even afar off7350.

44 And at that time3117 were some582 appointed6485 over the chambers5393 for the treasures214, for the offerings8641, for the firstfruits7225, and for the tithes4643, to gather3664 into them out of the fields7704 of the cities5892 the portions4521 of the law8451 for the priests3548 and Levites3881: for Judah3063 rejoiced8057 for the priests3548 and for the Levites3881 that waited5975.¹²¹³¹⁴ 45 And both the singers7891 and the porters7778 kept8104 the ward4931 of their God430, and the ward4931 of the purification2893, according to the commandment4687 of David1732, and of Solomon8010 his son1121. 46 For in the days3117 of David1732 and Asaph623 of old6924 there were chief7218 of the singers7891, and songs7892 of praise8416 and thanksgiving3034 unto God430. 47 And all Israel3478 in the days3117 of Zerubbabel2216, and in the days3117 of Nehemiah5166, gave5414 the portions4521 of the singers7891 and the porters7778, every day3117 his portion1697: and they sanctified6942 holy things unto the Levites3881; and the Levites3881 sanctified6942 them unto the children1121 of Aaron175.¹⁵
