[Mt 21,13; Mk 11,17; Lk 19,46] 12 But go3212 ye now unto my place4725 which was in Shiloh7887, where I set7931 my name8034 at the first7223, and see7200 what I did6213 to it for6440 the wickedness7451 of my people5971 Israel3478. 13 And now, because ye have done6213 all these works4639, saith5002 the LORD3068, and I spake1696 unto you, rising up early7925 and speaking1696, but ye heard8085 not; and I called7121 you, but ye answered6030 not; 14 Therefore will I do6213 unto this house1004, which is called7121 by my name8034, wherein ye trust982, and unto the place4725 which I gave5414 to you and to your fathers1, as I have done6213 to Shiloh7887. 15 And I will cast you out7993 of my sight6440, as I have cast out7993 all your brethren251, even the whole seed2233 of Ephraim669.

16 Therefore pray6419 not thou for this people5971, neither lift up5375 cry7440 nor prayer8605 for them1157, neither make intercession6293 to me: for I will not hear8085 thee. 17 Seest7200 thou not what they do6213 in the cities5892 of Judah3063 and in the streets2351 of Jerusalem3389? 18 The children1121 gather3950 wood6086, and the fathers1 kindle1197 the fire784, and the women802 knead3888 their dough1217, to make6213 cakes3561 to the queen4446 of heaven8064, and to pour out5258 drink offerings5262 unto other312 gods430, that they may provoke me to anger3707.² 19 Do they provoke me to anger3707? saith5002 the LORD3068: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion1322 of their own faces6440? 20 Therefore thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Behold, mine anger639 and my fury2534 shall be poured out5413 upon this place4725, upon man120, and upon beast929, and upon the trees6086 of the field7704, and upon the fruit6529 of the ground127; and it shall burn1197, and shall not be quenched3518.

21 Thus saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts6635, the God430 of Israel3478; Put5595 your burnt offerings5930 unto your sacrifices2077, and eat398 flesh1320. 22 For I spake1696 not unto your fathers1, nor commanded6680 them in the day3117 that I brought them out3318 of the land776 of Egypt4714, concerning1697 burnt offerings5930 or sacrifices2077:³ 23 But this thing1697 commanded6680 I them, saying559, Obey8085 my voice6963, and I will be your God430, and ye shall be my people5971: and walk1980 ye in all the ways1870 that I have commanded6680 you, that it may be well3190 unto you. 24 But they hearkened8085 not, nor inclined5186 their ear241, but walked3212 in the counsels4156 and in the imagination8307 of their evil7451 heart3820, and went backward268, and not forward6440.⁴⁵ 25 Since the day3117 that your fathers1 came forth out3318 of the land776 of Egypt4714 unto this day3117 I have even sent7971 unto you all my servants5650 the prophets5030, daily3117 rising up early7925 and sending7971 them: 26 Yet they hearkened8085 not unto me, nor inclined5186 their ear241, but hardened7185 their neck6203: they did worse7489 than their fathers1. 27 Therefore thou shalt speak1696 all these words1697 unto them; but they will not hearken8085 to thee: thou shalt also call7121 unto them; but they will not answer6030 thee. 28 But thou shalt say559 unto them, This is a nation1471 that obeyeth8085 not the voice6963 of the LORD3068 their God430, nor receiveth3947 correction4148: truth530 is perished6, and is cut off3772 from their mouth6310.⁶

29 Cut off1494 thine hair5145, O Jerusalem, and cast it away7993, and take up5375 a lamentation7015 on high places8205; for the LORD3068 hath rejected3988 and forsaken5203 the generation1755 of his wrath5678. 30 For the children1121 of Judah3063 have done6213 evil7451 in my sight5869, saith5002 the LORD3068: they have set7760 their abominations8251 in the house1004 which is called7121 by my name8034, to pollute2930 it. 31 And they have built1129 the high places1116 of Tophet8612, which is in the valley1516 of the son1121 of Hinnom2011, to burn8313 their sons1121 and their daughters1323 in the fire784; which I commanded6680 them not, neither came5927 it into my heart3820.⁷ 32 Therefore, behold, the days3117 come935, saith5002 the LORD3068, that it shall no more be called559 Tophet8612, nor the valley1516 of the son1121 of Hinnom2011, but the valley1516 of slaughter2028: for they shall bury6912 in Tophet8612, till there be no369 place4725. 33 And the carcases5038 of this people5971 shall be meat3978 for the fowls5775 of the heaven8064, and for the beasts929 of the earth776; and none shall fray them away2729. 34 Then will I cause to cease7673 from the cities5892 of Judah3063, and from the streets2351 of Jerusalem3389, the voice6963 of mirth8342, and the voice6963 of gladness8057, the voice6963 of the bridegroom2860, and the voice6963 of the bride3618: for the land776 shall be desolate2723.
