Then said559 the LORD3068 to me, Call7121 his name8034 Mahershalalhashbaz4122.² 4 For before the child5288 shall have knowledge3045 to cry7121, My father1, and my mother517, the riches2428 of Damascus1834 and the spoil7998 of Samaria8111 shall be taken away5375 before6440 the king4428 of Assyria804.³ 5 The LORD3068 spake1696 also unto me again3254, saying559, 6 Forasmuch3282 as this people5971 refuseth3988 the waters4325 of Shiloah7975 that go1980 softly328, and rejoice4885 in Rezin7526 and Remaliah's7425 son1121; 7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord136 bringeth up5927 upon them the waters4325 of the river5104, strong6099 and many7227, even the king4428 of Assyria804, and all his glory3519: and he shall come up5927 over all his channels650, and go over1980 all his banks1415: 8 And he shall pass2498 through Judah3063; he shall overflow7857 and go over5674, he shall reach5060 even to the neck6677; and the stretching out4298 of his wings3671 shall fill4393 the breadth7341 of thy land776, O Immanuel6005 410.⁴
