1 Moreover the word1697 of the LORD3068 came unto me, saying559, 2 Son1121 of man120, set7760 thy face6440 against mount2022 Seir8165, and prophesy5012 against it, 3 And say559 unto it, Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Behold, O mount2022 Seir8165, I am against thee, and I will stretch out5186 mine hand3027 against thee, and I will make5414 thee most4923 desolate8077.¹ 4 I will lay7760 thy cities5892 waste2723, and thou shalt be desolate8077, and thou shalt know3045 that I am the LORD3068. 5 Because thou hast had a perpetual5769 hatred342, and hast shed5064 the blood of the children1121 of Israel3478 by the force3027 of the sword2719 in the time6256 of their calamity343, in the time6256 that their iniquity5771 had an end7093:²³⁴ 6 Therefore, as I live2416, saith5002 the Lord136 GOD3069, I will prepare6213 thee unto blood1818, and blood1818 shall pursue7291 thee: sith518 thou hast not hated8130 blood1818, even blood1818 shall pursue7291 thee. 7 Thus will I make5414 mount2022 Seir8165 most8077 desolate8077, and cut off3772 from it him that passeth out5674 and him that returneth7725.⁵ 8 And I will fill4390 his mountains2022 with his slain2491 men: in thy hills1389, and in thy valleys1516, and in all thy rivers650, shall they fall5307 that are slain2491 with the sword2719. 9 I will make5414 thee perpetual5769 desolations8077, and thy cities5892 shall not return7725 3427: and ye shall know3045 that I am the LORD3068.

10 Because thou hast said559, These two8147 nations1471 and these two8147 countries776 shall be mine, and we will possess3423 it; whereas the LORD3068 was there:⁶ 11 Therefore, as I live2416, saith5002 the Lord136 GOD3069, I will even do6213 according to thine anger639, and according to thine envy7068 which thou hast used6213 out of thy hatred8135 against them; and I will make myself known3045 among them, when I have judged8199 thee. 12 And thou shalt know3045 that I am the LORD3068, and that I have heard8085 all thy blasphemies5007 which thou hast spoken559 against the mountains2022 of Israel3478, saying559, They are laid desolate8074 8077, they are given5414 us to consume402.⁷ 13 Thus with your mouth6310 ye have boasted1431 against me, and have multiplied6280 your words1697 against me: I have heard8085 them.⁸ 14 Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; When the whole earth776 rejoiceth8055, I will make6213 thee desolate8077. 15 As thou didst rejoice8057 at the inheritance5159 of the house1004 of Israel3478, because it was desolate8074, so will I do6213 unto thee: thou shalt be desolate8077, O mount2022 Seir8165, and all Idumea123, even all of it: and they shall know3045 that I am the LORD3068.
