1 The word1697 of the LORD3068 came again unto me, saying559, 2 Son1121 of man120, set7760 thy face6440 against the Ammonites1121 5983, and prophesy5012 against them; 3 And say559 unto the Ammonites1121 5983, Hear8085 the word1697 of the Lord136 GOD3069; Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Because thou saidst559, Aha1889, against my sanctuary4720, when it was profaned2490; and against the land127 of Israel3478, when it was desolate8074; and against the house1004 of Judah3063, when they went1980 into captivity1473; 4 Behold, therefore I will deliver5414 thee to the men1121 of the east6924 for a possession4181, and they shall set3427 their palaces2918 in thee, and make5414 their dwellings4908 in thee: they shall eat398 thy fruit6529, and they shall drink8354 thy milk2461.¹ 5 And I will make5414 Rabbah7237 a stable5116 for camels1581, and the Ammonites1121 5983 a couchingplace4769 for flocks6629: and ye shall know3045 that I am the LORD3068. 6 For thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Because thou hast clapped4222 thine hands3027, and stamped7554 with the feet7272, and rejoiced8055 in heart5315 with all thy despite7589 against the land127 of Israel3478;²³⁴ 7 Behold, therefore I will stretch out5186 mine hand3027 upon thee, and will deliver5414 thee for a spoil957 897 to the heathen1471; and I will cut thee off3772 from the people5971, and I will cause thee to perish6 out of the countries776: I will destroy8045 thee; and thou shalt know3045 that I am the LORD3068.⁵

8 Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Because3282 that Moab4124 and Seir8165 do say559, Behold, the house1004 of Judah3063 is like unto all the heathen1471; 9 Therefore, behold, I will open6605 the side3802 of Moab4124 from the cities5892, from his cities5892 which are on his frontiers7097, the glory6643 of the country776, Bethjeshimoth1020, Baalmeon1186, and Kiriathaim7156,⁶ 10 Unto the men1121 of the east6924 with the Ammonites1121 5983, and will give5414 them in possession4181, that the Ammonites1121 5983 may not be remembered2142 among the nations1471.⁷ 11 And I will execute6213 judgments8201 upon Moab4124; and they shall know3045 that I am the LORD3068. 12 Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Because that Edom123 hath dealt6213 against the house1004 of Judah3063 by taking5358 vengeance5359, and hath greatly816 offended816, and revenged5358 himself upon them;⁸ 13 Therefore thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; I will also stretch out5186 mine hand3027 upon Edom123, and will cut off3772 man120 and beast929 from it; and I will make5414 it desolate2723 from Teman8487; and they of Dedan1719 shall fall5307 by the sword2719.⁹ 14 And I will lay5414 my vengeance5360 upon Edom123 by the hand3027 of my people5971 Israel3478: and they shall do6213 in Edom123 according to mine anger639 and according to my fury2534; and they shall know3045 my vengeance5360, saith5002 the Lord136 GOD3069. 15 Thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Because the Philistines6430 have dealt6213 by revenge5360, and have taken5358 vengeance5359 with a despiteful7589 heart5315, to destroy4889 it for the old5769 hatred342;¹⁰ 16 Therefore thus saith559 the Lord136 GOD3069; Behold, I will stretch out5186 mine hand3027 upon the Philistines6430, and I will cut off3772 the Cherethims3774, and destroy6 the remnant7611 of the sea3220 coast2348.¹¹ 17 And I will execute6213 great1419 vengeance5360 upon them with furious2534 rebukes8433; and they shall know3045 that I am the LORD3068, when I shall lay5414 my vengeance5360 upon them.¹²
