1 Then I looked7200, and, behold, in the firmament7549 that was above the head7218 of the cherubims3742 there appeared7200 over them as it were a sapphire5601 stone68, as the appearance4758 of the likeness1823 of a throne3678. 2 And he spake559 unto the man376 clothed3847 with linen906, and said559, Go in935 between996 the wheels1534, even under the cherub3742, and fill4390 thine hand2651 with coals1513 of fire784 from between996 the cherubims3742, and scatter2236 them over the city5892. And he went in935 in my sight5869.¹ 3 Now the cherubims3742 stood5975 on the right side3225 of the house1004, when the man376 went in935; and the cloud6051 filled4390 the inner6442 court2691. 4 Then the glory3519 of the LORD3068 went up7311 from the cherub3742, and stood over the threshold4670 of the house1004; and the house1004 was filled4390 with the cloud6051, and the court2691 was full4390 of the brightness5051 of the LORD'S3068 glory3519.² 5 And the sound6963 of the cherubims'3742 wings3671 was heard8085 even to the outer2435 court2691, as the voice6963 of the Almighty7706 God410 when he speaketh1696. 6 And it came to pass, that when he had commanded6680 the man376 clothed3847 with linen906, saying559, Take3947 fire784 from between the wheels1534, from between the cherubims3742; then he went in935, and stood5975 beside681 the wheels212. 7 And one cherub3742 stretched forth7971 his hand3027 from between the cherubims3742 unto the fire784 that was between the cherubims3742, and took5375 thereof, and put5414 it into the hands2651 of him that was clothed3847 with linen906: who took3947 it, and went out3318.³

8 And there appeared7200 in the cherubims3742 the form8403 of a man's120 hand3027 under their wings3671. 9 And when I looked7200, behold the four702 wheels212 by681 the cherubims3742, one259 wheel212 by681 one259 cherub3742, and another259 wheel212 by681 another259 cherub3742: and the appearance4758 of the wheels212 was as the colour5869 of a beryl8658 stone68. 10 And as for their appearances4758, they four702 had one259 likeness1823, as if a wheel212 had been in the midst8432 of a wheel212. 11 When they went3212, they went3212 upon their four702 sides7253; they turned5437 not as they went3212, but to the place4725 whither the head7218 looked6437 they followed3212 310 it; they turned5437 not as they went3212. 12 And their whole body1320, and their backs1354, and their hands3027, and their wings3671, and the wheels212, were full4392 of eyes5869 round about5439, even the wheels212 that they four702 had.⁴ 13 As for the wheels212, it was cried7121 unto them in my hearing241, O wheel1534.⁵ 14 And every one259 had four702 faces6440: the first259 face6440 was the face6440 of a cherub3742, and the second8145 face6440 was the face6440 of a man120, and the third7992 the face6440 of a lion738, and the fourth7243 the face6440 of an eagle5404. 15 And the cherubims3742 were lifted up7426. This is the living creature2416 that I saw7200 by the river5104 of Chebar3529. 16 And when the cherubims3742 went3212, the wheels212 went3212 by them681: and when the cherubims3742 lifted up5375 their wings3671 to mount up7311 from the earth776, the same wheels212 also1992 turned5437 not from beside681 them. 17 When they stood5975, these stood5975; and when they were lifted up7311, these lifted up7426 themselves also: for the spirit7307 of the living creature2416 was in them.⁶ 18 Then the glory3519 of the LORD3068 departed3318 from off the threshold4670 of the house1004, and stood5975 over the cherubims3742. 19 And the cherubims3742 lifted up5375 their wings3671, and mounted up7426 from the earth776 in my sight5869: when they went out3318, the wheels212 also were beside5980 them, and every one stood5975 at the door6607 of the east6931 gate8179 of the LORD'S3068 house1004; and the glory3519 of the God430 of Israel3478 was over them above4605. 20 This is the living creature2416 that I saw7200 under the God430 of Israel3478 by the river5104 of Chebar3529; and I knew3045 that they were the cherubims3742. 21 Every one259 had four702 faces6440 apiece259, and every one259 four702 wings3671; and the likeness1823 of the hands3027 of a man120 was under their wings3671. 22 And the likeness1823 of their faces6440 was the same1992 faces6440 which I saw7200 by the river5104 of Chebar3529, their appearances4758 and themselves: they went3212 every one376 straight5676 forward6440.
