1 Then the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, Go935 in unto Pharaoh6547, and tell1696 him, Thus saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of the Hebrews5680, Let my people5971 go7971, that they may serve5647 me. 2 For if thou refuse3986 to let them go7971, and wilt hold2388 them still, 3 Behold, the hand3027 of the LORD3068 is1961 upon thy cattle4735 which is in the field7704, upon the horses5483, upon the asses2543, upon the camels1581, upon the oxen1241, and upon the sheep6629: there shall be a very3966 grievous3515 murrain1698. 4 And the LORD3068 shall sever6395 between the cattle4735 of Israel3478 and the cattle4735 of Egypt4714: and there shall nothing1697 die4191 of all that is the children's1121 of Israel3478. 5 And the LORD3068 appointed7760 a set time4150, saying559, To morrow4279 the LORD3068 shall do6213 this thing1697 in the land776. 6 And the LORD3068 did6213 that thing1697 on the morrow4283, and all the cattle4735 of Egypt4714 died4191: but of the cattle4735 of the children1121 of Israel3478 died4191 not one259. 7 And Pharaoh6547 sent7971, and, behold, there was not one259 of the cattle4735 of the Israelites3478 dead4191. And the heart3820 of Pharaoh6547 was hardened3513, and he did not let the people5971 go7971.

8 And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872 and unto Aaron175, Take3947 to you handfuls2651 4393 of ashes6368 of the furnace3536, and let Moses4872 sprinkle2236 it toward the heaven8064 in the sight5869 of Pharaoh6547. 9 And it shall become small dust80 in all the land776 of Egypt4714, and shall be a boil7822 breaking forth6524 with blains76 upon man120, and upon beast929, throughout all the land776 of Egypt4714. 10 And they took3947 ashes6368 of the furnace3536, and stood5975 before6440 Pharaoh6547; and Moses4872 sprinkled2236 it up toward heaven8064; and it became a boil7822 breaking forth6524 with blains76 upon man120, and upon beast929. 11 And the magicians2748 could3201 not stand5975 before6440 Moses4872 because6440 of the boils7822; for the boil7822 was upon the magicians2748, and upon all the Egyptians4714. 12 And the LORD3068 hardened2388 the heart3820 of Pharaoh6547, and he hearkened8085 not unto them; as the LORD3068 had spoken1696 unto Moses4872.

13 And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, Rise up early7925 in the morning1242, and stand3320 before6440 Pharaoh6547, and say559 unto him, Thus saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of the Hebrews5680, Let my people5971 go7971, that they may serve5647 me. 14 For I will at this time6471 send7971 all my plagues4046 upon thine heart3820, and upon thy servants5650, and upon thy people5971; that thou mayest know3045 that there is none like me in all the earth776. 15 For now I will stretch out7971 my hand3027, that I may smite5221 thee and thy people5971 with pestilence1698; and thou shalt be cut off3582 from the earth776. 16 And in very199 deed5668 for this cause have I raised thee up5975, for to shew7200 in thee my power3581; and that my name8034 may be declared5608 throughout all the earth776.¹ [Röm 9,17] 17 As yet exaltest5549 thou thyself against my people5971, that thou wilt not let them go7971? 18 Behold, to morrow4279 about this time6256 I will cause it to rain4305 a very3966 grievous3515 hail1259, such as hath not been3644 in Egypt4714 since4480 the foundation3117 3245 thereof even until now. 19 Send7971 therefore now, and gather5756 thy cattle4735, and all that thou hast in the field7704; for upon every man120 and beast929 which shall be found4672 in the field7704, and shall not be brought622 home1004, the hail1259 shall come down3381 upon them, and they shall die4191. 20 He that feared3373 the word1697 of the LORD3068 among the servants5650 of Pharaoh6547 made his servants5650 and his cattle4735 flee5127 into the houses1004: 21 And he that regarded7760 3820 not the word1697 of the LORD3068 left5800 his servants5650 and his cattle4735 in the field7704.²

22 And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, Stretch forth5186 thine hand3027 toward heaven8064, that there may be hail1259 in all the land776 of Egypt4714, upon man120, and upon beast929, and upon every herb6212 of the field7704, throughout the land776 of Egypt4714. 23 And Moses4872 stretched forth5186 his rod4294 toward heaven8064: and the LORD3068 sent5414 thunder6963 and hail1259, and the fire784 ran along1980 upon the ground776; and the LORD3068 rained4305 hail1259 upon the land776 of Egypt4714. 24 So there was hail1259, and fire784 3947 mingled8432 with the hail1259, very3966 grievous3515, such as there was none3808 like it in all the land776 of Egypt4714 since it became a nation1471. 25 And the hail1259 smote5221 throughout all the land776 of Egypt4714 all that was in the field7704, both man120 and beast929; and the hail1259 smote5221 every herb6212 of the field7704, and brake7665 every tree6086 of the field7704. 26 Only in the land776 of Goshen1657, where the children1121 of Israel3478 were, was there no hail1259. 27 And Pharaoh6547 sent7971, and called7121 for Moses4872 and Aaron175, and said559 unto them, I have sinned2398 this time6471: the LORD3068 is righteous6662, and I and my people5971 are wicked7563. 28 Intreat6279 the LORD3068 (for it is enough7227) that there be no more mighty430 thunderings6963 and hail1259; and I will let you go7971, and ye shall stay5975 no longer3254.³ 29 And Moses4872 said559 unto him, As soon as I am gone out3318 of the city5892, I will spread abroad6566 my hands3709 unto the LORD3068; and the thunder6963 shall cease2308, neither shall there be any more hail1259; that thou mayest know3045 how that the earth776 is the LORD'S3068. 30 But as for thee and thy servants5650, I know3045 that ye will not yet fear3372 6440 the LORD3068 God430. 31 And the flax6594 and the barley8184 was smitten5221: for the barley8184 was in the ear24, and the flax6594 was bolled1392. 32 But the wheat2406 and the rie3698 were not smitten5221: for they2007 were not grown up648.⁴ 33 And Moses4872 went out3318 of the city5892 from Pharaoh6547, and spread abroad6566 his hands3709 unto the LORD3068: and the thunders6963 and hail1259 ceased2308, and the rain4306 was not poured5413 upon the earth776. 34 And when Pharaoh6547 saw7200 that the rain4306 and the hail1259 and the thunders6963 were ceased2308, he sinned2398 yet more3254, and hardened3513 his heart3820, he and his servants5650. 35 And the heart3820 of Pharaoh6547 was hardened2388, neither would he let the children1121 of Israel3478 go7971; as the LORD3068 had spoken1696 by3027 Moses4872.⁵
