1 And the LORD3068 spake1696 unto Moses4872, saying559, 2 On the first7223 day3117 of the first259 month2320 shalt thou set up6965 the tabernacle4908 of the tent168 of the congregation4150. 3 And thou shalt put7760 therein8033 the ark727 of the testimony5715, and cover5526 the ark727 with the vail6532. 4 And thou shalt bring935 in the table7979, and set in order6186 the things that are to be set in order6187 upon it; and thou shalt bring935 in the candlestick4501, and light5927 the lamps5216 thereof.¹ 5 And thou shalt set5414 the altar4196 of gold2091 for the incense7004 before6440 the ark727 of the testimony5715, and put7760 the hanging4539 of the door6607 to the tabernacle4908. 6 And thou shalt set5414 the altar4196 of the burnt offering5930 before6440 the door6607 of the tabernacle4908 of the tent168 of the congregation4150. 7 And thou shalt set5414 the laver3595 between the tent168 of the congregation4150 and the altar4196, and shalt put5414 water4325 therein. 8 And thou shalt set up7760 the court2691 round about5439, and hang up5414 the hanging4539 at the court2691 gate8179. 9 And thou shalt take3947 the anointing4888 oil8081, and anoint4886 the tabernacle4908, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow6942 it, and all the vessels3627 thereof: and it shall be holy6944. 10 And thou shalt anoint4886 the altar4196 of the burnt offering5930, and all his vessels3627, and sanctify6942 the altar4196: and it shall be an altar4196 most6944 holy6944.² 11 And thou shalt anoint4886 the laver3595 and his foot3653, and sanctify6942 it. 12 And thou shalt bring7126 Aaron175 and his sons1121 unto the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation4150, and wash7364 them with water4325. 13 And thou shalt put3847 upon Aaron175 the holy6944 garments899, and anoint4886 him, and sanctify6942 him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office3547. 14 And thou shalt bring7126 his sons1121, and clothe3847 them with coats3801: 15 And thou shalt anoint4886 them, as thou didst anoint4886 their father1, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office3547: for their anointing4888 shall surely be an everlasting5769 priesthood3550 throughout their generations1755.

16 Thus did6213 Moses4872: according to all that the LORD3068 commanded6680 him, so did6213 he. 17 And it came to pass in the first7223 month2320 in the second8145 year8141, on the first259 day of the month2320, that the tabernacle4908 was reared up6965. 18 And Moses4872 reared up6965 the tabernacle4908, and fastened5414 his sockets134, and set up7760 the boards7175 thereof, and put5414 in the bars1280 thereof, and reared up6965 his pillars5982. 19 And he spread abroad6566 the tent168 over the tabernacle4908, and put7760 the covering4372 of the tent168 above4605 upon it; as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872. 20 And he took3947 and put5414 the testimony5715 into the ark727, and set7760 the staves905 on the ark727, and put5414 the mercy seat3727 above4605 upon the ark727: 21 And he brought935 the ark727 into the tabernacle4908, and set up7760 the vail6532 of the covering4539, and covered5526 the ark727 of the testimony5715; as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872. 22 And he put5414 the table7979 in the tent168 of the congregation4150, upon the side3409 of the tabernacle4908 northward6828, without2351 the vail6532. 23 And he set6187 the bread3899 in order6186 upon it before6440 the LORD3068; as the LORD3068 had commanded6680 Moses4872. 24 And he put7760 the candlestick4501 in the tent168 of the congregation4150, over against5227 the table7979, on the side3409 of the tabernacle4908 southward5045. 25 And he lighted5927 the lamps5216 before6440 the LORD3068; as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872. 26 And he put7760 the golden2091 altar4196 in the tent168 of the congregation4150 before6440 the vail6532: 27 And he burnt6999 sweet5561 incense7004 thereon; as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872. 28 And he set up7760 the hanging4539 at the door6607 of the tabernacle4908. 29 And he put7760 the altar4196 of burnt offering5930 by the door6607 of the tabernacle4908 of the tent168 of the congregation4150, and offered5927 upon it the burnt offering5930 and the meat offering4503; as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872. 30 And he set7760 the laver3595 between the tent168 of the congregation4150 and the altar4196, and put5414 water4325 there, to wash7364 withal. 31 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 and his sons1121 washed7364 their hands3027 and their feet7272 thereat: 32 When they went935 into the tent168 of the congregation4150, and when they came near7126 unto the altar4196, they washed7364; as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872. 33 And he reared up6965 the court2691 round about5439 the tabernacle4908 and the altar4196, and set up5414 the hanging4539 of the court2691 gate8179. So Moses4872 finished3615 the work4399.

34 Then a cloud6051 covered3680 the tent168 of the congregation4150, and the glory3519 of the LORD3068 filled4390 the tabernacle4908. 35 And Moses4872 was not able3201 to enter935 into the tent168 of the congregation4150, because the cloud6051 abode7931 thereon, and the glory3519 of the LORD3068 filled4390 the tabernacle4908. 36 And when the cloud6051 was taken up5927 from5921 over the tabernacle4908, the children1121 of Israel3478 went onward5265 in all their journeys4550:³ 37 But if the cloud6051 were not taken up5927, then they journeyed5265 not till the day3117 that it was taken up5927. 38 For the cloud6051 of the LORD3068 was upon the tabernacle4908 by day3119, and fire784 was on it by night3915, in the sight5869 of all the house1004 of Israel3478, throughout all their journeys4550.
