1 And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, Hew6458 thee two8147 tables3871 of stone68 like unto the first7223: and I will write3789 upon these tables3871 the words1697 that were in the first7223 tables3871, which thou brakest7665. 2 And be ready3559 in the morning1242, and come up5927 in the morning1242 unto mount2022 Sinai5514, and present5324 thyself there to me in the top7218 of the mount2022. 3 And no man376 shall come up5927 with thee, neither408 let any man376 be seen7200 throughout all the mount2022; neither let the flocks6629 nor herds1241 feed7462 before4136 that mount2022. 4 And he hewed6458 two8147 tables3871 of stone68 like unto the first7223; and Moses4872 rose up early7925 in the morning1242, and went up5927 unto mount2022 Sinai5514, as the LORD3068 had commanded6680 him, and took3947 in his hand3027 the two8147 tables3871 of stone68.

5 And the LORD3068 descended3381 in the cloud6051, and stood3320 with him there, and proclaimed7121 the name8034 of the LORD3068. 6 And the LORD3068 passed by5674 before him6440, and proclaimed7121, The LORD3068, The LORD3068 God410, merciful7349 and gracious2587, longsuffering750 639, and abundant7227 in goodness2617 and truth571, 7 Keeping5341 mercy2617 for thousands505, forgiving5375 iniquity5771 and transgression6588 and sin2403, and that will by no means5352 clear5352 the guilty; visiting6485 the iniquity5771 of the fathers1 upon the children1121, and upon the children's1121 children, unto the third8029 and to the fourth7256 generation. 8 And Moses4872 made haste4116, and bowed his head6915 toward the earth776, and worshipped7812. 9 And he said559, If now I have found4672 grace2580 in thy sight5869, O Lord136, let my Lord136, I pray thee, go3212 among7130 us; for it is a stiffnecked7186 6203 people5971; and pardon5545 our iniquity5771 and our sin2403, and take us for thine inheritance5157.

10 And he said559, Behold, I make3772 a covenant1285: before all thy people5971 I will do6213 marvels6381, such as have not been done1254 in all the earth776, nor in any nation1471: and all the people5971 among7130 which thou art shall see7200 the work4639 of the LORD3068: for it is a terrible thing3372 that I will do6213 with thee. 11 Observe8104 thou that which I command6680 thee this day3117: behold, I drive out1644 before6440 thee the Amorite567, and the Canaanite3669, and the Hittite2850, and the Perizzite6522, and the Hivite2340, and the Jebusite2983. 12 Take heed8104 to thyself, lest thou make3772 a covenant1285 with the inhabitants3427 of the land776 whither thou goest935, lest it be for a snare4170 in the midst7130 of thee: 13 But ye shall destroy5422 their altars4196, break7665 their images4676, and cut down3772 their groves842:¹ 14 For thou shalt worship7812 no other312 god410: for the LORD3068, whose name8034 is Jealous7067, is a jealous7067 God410: 15 Lest thou make3772 a covenant1285 with the inhabitants3427 of the land776, and they go a whoring2181 after310 their gods430, and do sacrifice2076 unto their gods430, and one call7121 thee, and thou eat398 of his sacrifice2077; 16 And thou take3947 of their daughters1323 unto thy sons1121, and their daughters1323 go a whoring2181 after310 their gods430, and make2181 thy sons1121 go a whoring2181 after310 their gods430. 17 Thou shalt make6213 thee no molten4541 gods430.

18 The feast2282 of unleavened bread4682 shalt thou keep8104. And none shall appear7200 before6440 me empty7387.³ 21 Six8337 days3117 thou shalt work5647, but on the seventh7637 day3117 thou shalt rest7673: in earing time2758 and in harvest7105 thou shalt rest7673. 22 And thou shalt observe6213 the feast2282 of weeks7620, of the firstfruits1061 of wheat2406 harvest7105, and the feast2282 of ingathering614 at the year's8141 end8622.⁴ 23 Thrice6471 7969 in the year8141 shall all your men children2138 appear7200 before6440 the Lord113 GOD3068, the God430 of Israel3478. 24 For I will cast out3423 the nations1471 before6440 thee, and enlarge7337 thy borders1366: neither shall any man376 desire2530 thy land776, when thou shalt go up5927 to appear7200 before6440 the LORD3068 thy God430 thrice6471 7969 in the year8141. 25 Thou shalt not offer7819 the blood1818 of my sacrifice2077 with leaven2557; neither shall the sacrifice2077 of the feast2282 of the passover6453 be left3885 unto the morning1242. 26 The first7225 of the firstfruits1061 of thy land127 thou shalt bring935 unto the house1004 of the LORD3068 thy God430. Thou shalt not seethe1310 a kid1423 in his mother's517 milk2461. 27 And the LORD3068 said559 unto Moses4872, Write3789 thou these words1697: for after the tenor6310 of these words1697 I have made3772 a covenant1285 with thee and with Israel3478.

28 And he was there with the LORD3068 forty705 days3117 and forty705 nights3915; he did neither eat398 bread3899, nor drink8354 water4325. And he wrote3789 upon the tables3871 the words1697 of the covenant1285, the ten6235 commandments1697.⁵ 29 And it came to pass, when Moses4872 came down3381 from mount2022 Sinai5514 with the two8147 tables3871 of testimony5715 in Moses'4872 hand3027, when he came down3381 from the mount2022, that Moses4872 wist3045 not that the skin5785 of his face6440 shone7160 while he talked1696 with him. 30 And when Aaron175 and all the children1121 of Israel3478 saw7200 Moses4872, behold, the skin5785 of his face6440 shone7160; and they were afraid3372 to come nigh5066 him. 31 And Moses4872 called7121 unto them; and Aaron175 and all the rulers5387 of the congregation5712 returned7725 unto him: and Moses4872 talked1696 with them. 32 And afterward310 all the children1121 of Israel3478 came nigh5066: and he gave them in commandment6680 all that the LORD3068 had spoken1696 with him in mount2022 Sinai5514. 33 And till Moses4872 had done3615 speaking1696 with them, he put5414 a vail4533 on his face6440. 34 But when Moses4872 went in935 before6440 the LORD3068 to speak1696 with him, he took5493 the vail4533 off5493, until he came out3318. And he came out3318, and spake1696 unto the children1121 of Israel3478 that which he was commanded6680. 35 And the children1121 of Israel3478 saw7200 the face6440 of Moses4872, that the skin5785 of Moses'4872 face6440 shone7160: and Moses4872 put7725 the vail4533 upon his face6440 again7725, until he went935 in to speak1696 with him.
