1 Und dies sind die Gebote1, die SatzungenSatzungen und die Rechte, welche JehovaJehova, euer GottGott, geboten hat, euch zu lehren, damit ihr sie tuet in dem Lande, wohin ihr hinüberziehet, um es in Besitz zu nehmen;1 And these are the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances, which Jehovah your God commanded to teach you, that ye may do them in the land whereunto ye pass over to possess it,
2 auf daß du JehovaJehova, deinen GottGott, fürchtest alle TageTage deines LebensLebens, um zu beobachten alle seine SatzungenSatzungen und seine GeboteGebote, die ich dir gebiete, du und dein SohnSohn und deines SohnesSohnes SohnSohn, und auf daß deine TageTage sich verlängern.2 that thou mayest fear Jehovah thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3 So höre denn, IsraelIsrael, und achte darauf, sie zu tun, damit es dir wohlgehe, und ihr euch sehr mehret - so wie JehovaJehova, der GottGott deiner VäterVäter, zu dir geredet hat - in einem Lande, das von MilchMilch und HonigHonig fließt!3 And thou shalt hear, Israel, and take heed to do them ; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase greatly, as Jehovah the God of thy fathers hath said unto thee, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
4 Höre, IsraelIsrael: JehovaJehova, unser GottGott, ist ein einziger JehovaJehova2!4 Hear, Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah;
5 Und du sollst JehovaJehova, deinen GottGott, lieben mit deinem ganzen Herzen und mit deiner ganzen SeeleSeele und mit deiner ganzen KraftKraft.5 and thou shalt love Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength.
6 Und diese WorteWorte, die ich dir heute gebiete, sollen auf deinem Herzen sein.6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart;
7 Und du sollst sie deinen KindernKindern einschärfen und davon reden, wenn du in deinem HauseHause sitzest, und wenn du auf dem Wege gehst, und wenn du dich niederlegst, und wenn du aufstehst.7 and thou shalt impress them on thy sons, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou goest on the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8 Und du sollst sie zum ZeichenZeichen auf deine Hand binden, und sie sollen zu StirnbändernStirnbändern sein zwischen deinen AugenAugen;8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign on thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes.
9 und du sollst sie auf die PfostenPfosten deines Hauses und an deine ToreTore schreiben.9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.
10 Und es soll geschehen, wenn JehovaJehova, dein GottGott, dich in das Land bringt, das er deinen VäternVätern, AbrahamAbraham, IsaakIsaak und JakobJakob, geschworen hat, dir zu geben: große und gute Städte, die du nicht gebaut hast,10 And it shall be, when Jehovah thy God bringeth thee into the land which he swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee: great and good cities which thou buildedst not,
11 und Häuser, voll von allem Gut, die du nicht gefüllt, und gehauene Zisternen, die du nicht gehauen, WeinbergeWeinberge und Olivengärten, die du nicht gepflanzt hast, und du essen und satt werden wirst:11 and houses full of everything good which thou filledst not, and wells digged which thou diggedst not, vineyards and oliveyards which thou plantedst not, and thou shalt have eaten and shalt be full;
12 so hüte dich, daß du JehovasJehovas nicht vergessest, der dich herausgeführt hat aus dem Lande Ägypten, aus dem HauseHause der Knechtschaft.12 then beware lest thou forget Jehovah who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
13 JehovaJehova, deinen GottGott, sollst du fürchten und ihm dienen, und bei seinem NamenNamen sollst du schwören.13 Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
14 Ihr sollt nicht anderen GötternGöttern nachgehen, von den GötternGöttern der Völker, die rings um euch her sind;14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples that are round about you;
15 denn ein eifernder GottGott3 ist JehovaJehova, dein GottGott, in deiner Mitte: damit nicht der ZornZorn JehovasJehovas, deines GottesGottes, wider dich entbrenne, und er dich vertilge vom Erdboden hinweg.15 for Jehovah thy God is a jealous *God in thy midst; lest the anger of Jehovah thy God be kindled against thee, and he destroy thee from the face of the earth.
16 Ihr sollt JehovaJehova, euren GottGott, nicht versuchen, wie ihr ihn zu MassaMassa versucht habt.16 Ye shall not tempt Jehovah your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17 Ihr sollt fleißig beobachten die GeboteGebote JehovasJehovas, eures GottesGottes, und seine Zeugnisse und seine SatzungenSatzungen, die er dir geboten hat.17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of Jehovah your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18 Und du sollst tun was recht und gut ist in den AugenAugen JehovasJehovas, auf daß es dir wohlgehe und du hineinkommest und das gute Land in Besitz nehmest, welches JehovaJehova deinen VäternVätern zugeschworen hat,18 And thou shalt do what is right and good in the sight of Jehovah, that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest enter in and possess the good land which Jehovah swore unto thy fathers,
19 indem er alle deine Feinde vor dir ausstößt, so wie JehovaJehova geredet hat.19 thrusting out all thine enemies from before thee, as Jehovah hath spoken.
20 Wenn dein SohnSohn dich künftig fragt und spricht: Was bedeuten die Zeugnisse und die SatzungenSatzungen und die Rechte, welche JehovaJehova, unser GottGott, euch geboten hat?20 When thy son shall ask thee in time to come, saying, What are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which Jehovah our God hath commanded you?
21 so sollst du deinem SohneSohne sagen: Wir waren KnechteKnechte des PharaoPharao in Ägypten, und JehovaJehova hat uns mit starker Hand aus Ägypten herausgeführt;21 then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and Jehovah brought us out of Egypt with a powerful hand;
22 und JehovaJehova tat vor unseren AugenAugen große und verderbenbringende ZeichenZeichen und WunderWunder an Ägypten, an dem PharaoPharao und an seinem ganzen HauseHause;22 and Jehovah shewed signs and wonders, great and grievous, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes;
23 und uns führte er von dannen heraus, um uns herzubringen, uns das Land zu geben, welches er unseren VäternVätern zugeschworen hat.23 and he brought us out thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore unto our fathers.
24 Und JehovaJehova hat uns geboten, alle diese SatzungenSatzungen zu tun, JehovaJehova, unseren GottGott, zu fürchten, uns zum Guten alle TageTage, daß er uns am LebenLeben erhalte, wie es an diesem TageTage ist.24 And Jehovah commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Jehovah our God, for our good continually, that he might preserve us alive, as it is this day.
25 Und es wird unsere GerechtigkeitGerechtigkeit sein, wenn wir darauf achten, dieses ganze Gebot vor JehovaJehova, unserem GottGott, zu tun, so wie er uns geboten hat.25 And it shall be our righteousness if we take heed to do all these commandments before Jehovah our God, as he hath commanded us.
