1 So sollst du denn JehovaJehova, deinen GottGott, lieben und seine Vorschriften1 beobachten und seine SatzungenSatzungen und seine Rechte und seine GeboteGebote alle TageTage.1 Thou shalt love then Jehovah thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his ordinances, and his commandments continually.
2 Und erkennet2 heute - denn nicht mit euren KindernKindern rede ich, die es nicht wissen und die es nicht gesehen haben - die ZuchtZucht JehovasJehovas, eures GottesGottes, seine Größe, seine starke Hand und seinen ausgestreckten ArmArm,2 And know ye this day...; for I speak not with your children who have not known, and who have not seen the chastisement of Jehovah your God, his greatness, his powerful hand, and his stretched-out arm,
3 und seine ZeichenZeichen und seine Taten, die er in Ägypten getan hat, an dem PharaoPharao, dem KönigeKönige von Ägypten, und an seinem ganzen Lande;3 and his signs and his acts which he did in the midst of Egypt unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;
4 und was er getan hat an der Heeresmacht Ägyptens, an seinen Rossen und seinen WagenWagen, über welche er die Wasser des SchilfmeeresSchilfmeeres hinströmen ließ, als sie euch nachjagten; und JehovaJehova hat sie vernichtet bis auf diesen TagTag;4 and what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and unto their chariots, over which he made the water of the Red sea flow as they pursued after you, and Jehovah destroyed them unto this day;
5 und was er euch in der WüsteWüste getan hat, bis ihr an diesen Ort kamet;5 --and what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came to this place;
6 und was er an DathanDathan und AbiramAbiram getan hat, den Söhnen EliabsEliabs, des SohnesSohnes RubensRubens, wie die ErdeErde ihren Mund auftat und sie inmitten von ganz IsraelIsrael verschlang samt ihren Familien3 und ihren Zelten und allem Bestehenden, das in ihrem Gefolge war.6 and what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben, --how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, with their households, and their tents, and all the living substance that belonged to them, in the midst of all Israel.
7 Denn eure AugenAugen haben all das große Werk JehovasJehovas gesehen, das er getan hat.7 For your eyes have seen all the great work of Jehovah which he hath done.
8 Und so beobachtet das ganze Gebot, das ich dir heute gebiete, damit ihr stark seiet und hineinkommet und das Land besitzet, wohin ihr hinüberziehet, um es in Besitz zu nehmen;8 Keep then all the commandment which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and enter in and possess the land, whither ye pass over to possess it;
9 und damit ihr eure TageTage verlängert in dem Lande, das JehovaJehova euren VäternVätern geschworen hat, ihnen und ihrem Samen zu geben, ein Land, das von MilchMilch und HonigHonig fließt.9 and that ye may prolong your days in the land which Jehovah swore unto your fathers to give unto them and unto their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 Denn das Land, wohin du kommst, um es in Besitz zu nehmen, ist nicht wie das Land Ägypten, von wo ihr ausgezogen seid, wo du deine SaatSaat sätest und mit deinem Fuße4 wässertest, wie einen Krautgarten;10 For the land, whither thou enterest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs;
11 sondern das Land, wohin ihr hinüberziehet, um es in Besitz zu nehmen, ist ein Land mit Bergen und Tälern; vom RegenRegen des HimmelsHimmels trinkt es Wasser;11 but the land, whereunto ye are passing over to possess it, is a land of mountains and valleys, which drinketh water of the rain of heaven,
12 ein Land, auf welches JehovaJehova, dein GottGott, achthat: beständig sind die AugenAugen JehovasJehovas, deines GottesGottes, darauf gerichtet, vom AnfangAnfang des JahresJahres bis zum Ende des JahresJahres.12 a land which Jehovah thy God careth for; the eyes of Jehovah thy God are constantly upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
13 Und es wird geschehen, wenn ihr fleißig auf meine GeboteGebote höret, die ich euch heute gebiete, JehovaJehova, euren GottGott, zu lieben und ihm zu dienen mit eurem ganzen Herzen und mit eurer ganzen SeeleSeele,13 And it shall come to pass, if ye hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love Jehovah your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 so werde ich den RegenRegen eures Landes geben zu seiner ZeitZeit, den Frühregen und den Spätregen, damit du dein Getreide und deinen Most und dein Öl einsammelst;14 that I will give rain to your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain; and thou shalt gather in thy corn, and thy new wine, and thine oil;
15 und ich werde deinem ViehVieh Kraut geben auf deinem Felde, und du wirst essen und satt werden.15 and I will give grass in thy field for thy cattle; and thou shalt eat and be full.
16 Hütet euch, daß euer HerzHerz nicht verführt werde, und ihr abweichet und anderen GötternGöttern dienet und euch vor ihnen niederbeuget,16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside and serve other gods, and bow down to them,
17 und der ZornZorn JehovasJehovas wider euch entbrenne, und er den HimmelHimmel verschließe, daß kein RegenRegen sei, und der Erdboden seinen Ertrag nicht gebe, und ihr bald aus dem guten Lande vertilgt werdet, das JehovaJehova euch gibt.17 and Jehovah's wrath kindle against you, and he shut up the heavens, that there be no rain, and that the ground yield not its produce, and ye perish quickly from off the good land which Jehovah is giving you.
18 Und ihr sollt diese meine WorteWorte auf euer HerzHerz und auf eure SeeleSeele legen, und sie zum ZeichenZeichen auf eure Hand binden, und sie sollen zu StirnbändernStirnbändern zwischen euren AugenAugen sein.18 And ye shall lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.
19 Und lehret sie eure KinderKinder, indem ihr davon redet, wenn du in deinem HauseHause sitzest, und wenn du auf dem Wege gehst, und wenn du dich niederlegst, und wenn du aufstehst;19 And ye shall teach them unto your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou goest on the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up;
20 und schreibe sie auf die PfostenPfosten deines Hauses und an deine ToreTore,20 and write them upon the posts of thy house, and upon thy gates;
21 auf daß eure TageTage und die TageTage eurer KinderKinder sich mehren in dem Lande, welches JehovaJehova euren VäternVätern geschworen hat, ihnen zu geben, wie die TageTage des HimmelsHimmels über der ErdeErde.21 that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which Jehovah swore unto your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens which are above the earth.
22 Denn wenn ihr dieses ganze Gebot, das ich euch5 zu tun gebiete, fleißig beobachtet, JehovaJehova, euren GottGott, zu lieben, auf allen seinen Wegen zu wandeln und ihm anzuhangen,22 For if ye diligently keep all this commandment which I command you this day to do it, to love Jehovah your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him,
23 so wird JehovaJehova alle diese NationenNationen vor euch austreiben; und ihr werdet NationenNationen in Besitz nehmen, größer und stärker als ihr.23 then will Jehovah dispossess all these nations from before you, and ye shall take possession of nations greater and mightier than yourselves.
24 Jeder Ort, auf welchen eure Fußsohle treten wird, wird euer sein: von der WüsteWüste und dem LibanonLibanon, und vom Strome, dem Strome Phrat, bis an das hintere6 MeerMeer wird eure Grenze sein.24 Every place whereon the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours; from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the hinder sea shall your border be.
25 Niemand wird vor euch bestehen; euren Schrecken und eure Furcht wird JehovaJehova, euer GottGott, auf das ganze Land legen, auf welches ihr treten werdet, so wie er zu euch geredet hat.25 No man shall be able to stand before you: the fear of you and the dread of you will Jehovah your God lay upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
26 Siehe, ich lege euch heute Segen und FluchFluch vor:26 See, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:
27 den Segen, wenn ihr den Geboten JehovasJehovas, eures GottesGottes, gehorchet, die ich euch heute gebiete;27 a blessing, if ye obey the commandments of Jehovah your God, which I command you this day;
28 und den FluchFluch, wenn ihr den Geboten JehovasJehovas, eures GottesGottes, nicht gehorchet und von dem Wege abweichet, den ich euch heute gebiete, um anderen GötternGöttern nachzugehen, die ihr nicht kennet.28 and a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of Jehovah your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods which ye have not known.
29 Und es soll geschehen, wenn JehovaJehova, dein GottGott, dich in das Land bringt, wohin du kommst, um es in Besitz zu nehmen, so sollst du den Segen erteilen auf7 dem BergeBerge GerisimGerisim und den FluchFluch auf8 dem BergeBerge EbalEbal.29 And it shall come to pass, when Jehovah thy God hath brought thee into the land whither thou enterest in to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.
30 Sind sie nicht jenseit des JordanJordan, hinter dem Wege gegen SonnenuntergangSonnenuntergang im Lande der KanaaniterKanaaniter9, die in der EbeneEbene wohnen, GilgalGilgal gegenüber, bei den Terebinthen MoresMores?30 Are they not on the other side of the Jordan, beyond the way toward the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites that dwell on the plain opposite to Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?
31 Denn ihr gehet über den JordanJordan, um hineinzukommen, das Land in Besitz zu nehmen, das JehovaJehova, euer GottGott, euch gibt; und ihr werdet es in Besitz nehmen und darin wohnen.31 For ye pass over the Jordan to enter in to possess the land which Jehovah your God giveth you, and ye shall take possession of it, and dwell therein.
32 Und so achtet darauf, alle die SatzungenSatzungen und die Rechte zu tun, die ich euch heute vorlege.32 And ye shall take heed to do all the statutes and ordinances which I set before you this day.
