1 Und Jehova redete zu Mose und sprach:

1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Gebiete den Kindern Israel und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ihr in das Land Kanaan kommet, so ist dies das Land, welches euch als Erbteil zufallen soll: das Land Kanaan nach seinen Grenzen.

2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan, this shall be the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan according to the borders thereof.

3 Und die Südseite soll euch sein von der Wüste Zin an, Edom entlang, und die Südgrenze soll euch sein vom Ende des Salzmeeres gegen Osten.

3 Then your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin alongside of Edom, and your southern border shall be from the end of the salt sea eastward;

4 Und die Grenze soll sich euch südlich von der Anhöhe Akrabbim wenden und nach Zin hinübergehen, und ihr Ausgang¹ sei südlich von Kades-Barnea; und sie laufe nach Hazar-Addar hin, und gehe hinüber nach Azmon;

4 and your border shall turn from the south of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin, and shall end southward at Kadesh-barnea, and shall go on to Hazar-Addar, and pass on to Azmon.

5 und die Grenze wende sich von Azmon nach dem Bache Ägyptens, und ihr Ausgang sei nach dem Meere hin. -

5 And the border shall turn from Azmon unto the torrent of Egypt, and shall end at the sea.

6 Und die Westgrenze: sie sei euch das große Meer und das Angrenzende²; das soll euch die Westgrenze sein. -

6 And as west border ye shall have the great sea, and its coast. This shall be your west border.

7 Und dies soll euch die Nordgrenze sein: vom großen Meere aus sollt ihr euch den Berg Hor abmarken;

7 And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall mark out for you mount Hor;

8 vom Berge Hor sollt ihr abmarken bis man nach Hamath kommt, und der Ausgang der Grenze sei nach Zedad hin;

8 from mount Hor ye shall mark out the entrance to Hamath, and the end of the border shall be toward Zedad;

9 und die Grenze laufe nach Siphron hin, und ihr Ausgang sei bei Hazar-Enan. Das soll euch die Nordgrenze sein. -

9 and the border shall go to Ziphron, and shall end at Hazar-enan. This shall be your north border.

10 Und zur Ostgrenze sollt ihr euch abmarken von Hazar-Enan nach Schepham.

10 And ye shall mark out for you as eastern border from Hazar-enan to Shepham:

11 Und die Grenze gehe hinab von Schepham nach Ribla, östlich von Ajin; und die Grenze gehe hinab und stoße an die Seite³ des Sees Kinnereth⁴ gegen Osten;

11 and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall strike upon the extremity of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

12 und die Grenze gehe an den Jordan hinab, und ihr Ausgang sei am Salzmeere. Das soll euer Land sein nach seinen Grenzen ringsum.

12 and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and shall end at the salt sea. This shall be your land according to the borders thereof round about.

13 Und Mose gebot den Kindern Israel und sprach: Das ist das Land, welches ihr durchs Los als Erbteil empfangen sollt, das Jehova den neun Stämmen und dem halben Stamme zu geben geboten hat.

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall take for yourselves as inheritance by lot, which Jehovah commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.

14 Denn der Stamm der Kinder der Rubeniter nach ihren Vaterhäusern, und der Stamm der Kinder der Gaditer nach ihren Vaterhäusern, und die Hälfte des Stammes Manasse, die haben ihr Erbteil empfangen.

16 Und Jehova redete zu Mose und sprach:

16 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

17 Dies sind die Namen der Männer, welche euch das Land als Erbe austeilen sollen: Eleasar, der Priester, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.

18 Und je einen Fürsten vom Stamme sollt ihr nehmen, um das Land als Erbe auszuteilen.

18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land.
