1 Und es nahten herzu die Töchter ZelophchadsZelophchads, des SohnesSohnes HephersHephers, des SohnesSohnes GileadsGileads, des SohnesSohnes MakirsMakirs, des SohnesSohnes ManassesManasses, von den GeschlechternGeschlechtern ManassesManasses, des SohnesSohnes JosephsJosephs; und dies waren die NamenNamen seiner Töchter: MachlaMachla, NoaNoa und ChoglaChogla und MilkaMilka und TirzaTirza.1 Then drew near the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these were the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
2 Und sie traten vor MoseMose und vor EleasarEleasar, den PriesterPriester, und vor die Fürsten und die ganze GemeindeGemeinde an den Eingang des ZeltesZeltes der Zusammenkunft und sprachen:2 And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and the whole assembly, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, saying,
3 Unser VaterVater ist in der WüsteWüste gestorben; er war aber nicht unter der RotteRotte derer, die sich in der RotteRotte KorahsKorahs wider JehovaJehova zusammenrotteten, sondern er ist in seiner Sünde1 gestorben; und er hatte keine Söhne.3 Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the band of them that banded themselves together against Jehovah in the band of Korah; but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons.
4 Warum soll der Name unseres VatersVaters abgeschnitten werden aus der Mitte seines GeschlechtsGeschlechts, weil er keinen SohnSohn hat? Gib uns ein Eigentum unter den BrüdernBrüdern unseres VatersVaters!4 Why should the name of our father be taken away from his family, because he has no son? Give unto us a possession among the brethren of our father.
5 Und MoseMose brachte ihre Rechtssache vor JehovaJehova.5 And Moses brought their cause before Jehovah.
6 Und JehovaJehova redete zu MoseMose und sprach:6 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
7 Die Töchter ZelophchadsZelophchads reden recht; du sollst ihnen sicherlich ein Erbbesitztum unter den BrüdernBrüdern ihres VatersVaters geben, und sollst das ErbteilErbteil ihres VatersVaters auf sie übergehen lassen.7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
8 Und zu den KindernKindern IsraelIsrael sollst du reden und sprechen: Wenn ein MannMann stirbt und keinen SohnSohn hat, so sollt ihr sein ErbteilErbteil auf seine TochterTochter übergehen lassen.8 And unto the children of Israel shalt thou speak, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
9 Und wenn er keine TochterTochter hat, so sollt ihr sein ErbteilErbteil seinen BrüdernBrüdern geben.9 And if he have no daughter, ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
10 Und wenn er keine BrüderBrüder hat, so sollt ihr sein ErbteilErbteil den BrüdernBrüdern seines VatersVaters geben.10 And if he have no brethren, ye shall give his inheritance unto his father's brethren.
11 Und wenn sein VaterVater keine BrüderBrüder hat, so sollt ihr sein ErbteilErbteil seinem Blutsverwandten geben, dem ihm am nächsten stehenden aus seinem GeschlechtGeschlecht, daß er es erbe. - Und das soll den KindernKindern IsraelIsrael zu einer Rechtssatzung sein, so wie JehovaJehova dem MoseMose geboten hat.11 And if his father have no brethren, ye shall give his inheritance to his kinsman that is nearest to him in his family, and he shall possess it; and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of right, as Jehovah commanded Moses.
12 Und JehovaJehova sprach zu MoseMose: Steige auf dieses GebirgeGebirge AbarimAbarim und sieh das Land, das ich den KindernKindern IsraelIsrael gegeben habe.12 And Jehovah said to Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land that I have given unto the children of Israel.
13 Und hast du es gesehen, so wirst auch du zu deinen Völkern versammelt werden, so wie dein BruderBruder AaronAaron versammelt worden ist;13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy peoples, as Aaron thy brother was gathered,
14 weil ihr in der Wüste ZinWüste Zin, beim Hadern der GemeindeGemeinde, widerspenstig gewesen seid gegen meinen Befehl, mich durch das Wasser vor ihren AugenAugen zu heiligen. (Das ist das Haderwasser von KadesKades in der Wüste ZinWüste Zin.)14 because ye rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, as to hallowing me in the matter of the water before their eyes. (That is the water of Meribah at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
15 Und MoseMose redete zu JehovaJehova und sprach:15 And Moses spoke to Jehovah, saying,
16 Es bestelle JehovaJehova, der GottGott der GeisterGeister alles FleischesFleisches, einen MannMann über die GemeindeGemeinde,16 Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the assembly,
17 der vor ihnen her aus- und einziehe, und der sie aus- und einführe; damit die GemeindeGemeinde JehovasJehovas nicht sei wie SchafeSchafe, die keinen Hirten haben.17 who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, that the assembly of Jehovah be not as sheep that have no shepherd.
18 Und JehovaJehova sprach zu MoseMose: Nimm dir JosuaJosua, den SohnSohn Nuns, einen MannMann, in dem der GeistGeist ist, und lege deine Hand auf ihn;18 And Jehovah said to Moses, Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and thou shalt lay thy hand upon him;
19 und stelle ihn vor EleasarEleasar, den PriesterPriester, und vor die ganze GemeindeGemeinde, und gib ihm Befehl vor ihren AugenAugen,19 and thou shalt set him before Eleazar the priest, and before the whole assembly; and give him commandment before their eyes.
20 und lege von deiner Würde2 auf ihn, damit die ganze GemeindeGemeinde der KinderKinder IsraelIsrael ihm gehorche.20 And thou shalt put of thine honour upon him, that the whole assembly of the children of Israel may obey him.
21 Und er soll vor EleasarEleasar, den PriesterPriester, treten, und der soll für ihn das Urteil der UrimUrim vor JehovaJehova befragen: nach seinem Befehle sollen sie ausziehen, und nach seinem Befehle sollen sie einziehen, er und alle KinderKinder IsraelIsrael mit ihm, ja, die ganze GemeindeGemeinde.21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him, by the judgment of the Urim before Jehovah: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, he, and all the children of Israel with him, even the whole assembly.
22 Und MoseMose tat, so wie JehovaJehova ihm geboten hatte, und nahm JosuaJosua und stellte ihn vor EleasarEleasar, den PriesterPriester, und vor die ganze GemeindeGemeinde,22 And Moses did as Jehovah had commanded him; and he took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before the whole assembly.
23 und er legte seine Hände auf ihn und gab ihm Befehl, so wie JehovaJehova durch MoseMose geredet hatte.23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him commandment, as Jehovah had said through Moses.
