1 Und JehovaJehova sprach zu MoseMose: Rede zu den PriesternPriestern, den Söhnen AaronsAarons, und sprich zu ihnen: Keiner von ihnen soll sich1 wegen einer Leiche verunreinigen unter seinen Völkern:1 And Jehovah said to Moses, Speak unto the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none make himself unclean for a dead person among his peoples,
2 außer wegen seines Blutsverwandten, der ihm nahe steht: wegen seiner MutterMutter und wegen seines VatersVaters und wegen seines SohnesSohnes und wegen seiner TochterTochter und wegen seines BrudersBruders;2 except for his immediate relation, who is near unto him--for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother;
3 und wegen seiner Schwester, der JungfrauJungfrau, die ihm nahe steht, die noch keines MannesMannes geworden ist: wegen dieser darf er sich verunreinigen.3 and for his sister, a virgin, that is near unto him, who hath had no husband, for her may he make himself unclean.
4 Er soll sich nicht verunreinigen als HerrHerr unter seinen Völkern, sich zu entweihen.4 He shall not make himself unclean who is a chief among his peoples, to profane himself.
5 Sie sollen keine GlatzeGlatze auf ihrem HaupteHaupte machen, und den Rand ihres BartesBartes sollen sie nicht abscheren, und an ihrem FleischeFleische sollen sie keine Einschnitte machen.5 They shall not make any baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corners of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
6 Sie sollen ihrem GottGott heilig sein, und den NamenNamen ihres GottesGottes sollen sie nicht entweihen, denn die FeueropferFeueropfer JehovasJehovas, das BrotBrot ihres GottesGottes, bringen sie dar; und sie sollen heilig sein.6 They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God; for they present Jehovah's offerings by fire, the bread of their God; therefore shall they be holy.
7 Eine HureHure und eine Entehrte sollen sie nicht zum Weibe nehmen, und ein von ihrem ManneManne verstoßenes Weib sollen sie nicht nehmen; denn heilig ist er seinem GottGott.7 They shall not take as wife a whore, or a dishonoured woman; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband; for he is holy unto his God.
8 Und du sollst ihn für heilig achten, denn das BrotBrot deines GottesGottes bringt er dar; er soll dir heilig sein; denn heilig bin ich, JehovaJehova, der euch heiligt.8 And thou shalt hallow him; for the bread of thy God doth he present: he shall be holy unto thee; for I, Jehovah, who hallow you am holy.
9 Und wenn die TochterTochter eines PriestersPriesters sich durch HurereiHurerei entweiht, so entweiht sie ihren VaterVater: sie soll mit FeuerFeuer verbrannt werden. -9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burned with fire.
10 Und der HohepriesterHohepriester unter seinen BrüdernBrüdern, auf dessen HauptHaupt das Salböl gegossen worden, und der geweihtgeweiht ist, um die heiligen KleiderKleider anzulegen, soll sein HauptHaupt nicht entblößen und soll seine KleiderKleider nicht zerreißen.10 And the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his garments.
11 Und er soll zu keiner Leiche kommen; wegen seines VatersVaters und wegen seiner MutterMutter soll er sich nicht verunreinigen.11 Neither shall he come near any person dead, nor make himself unclean for his father and for his mother;
12 Und aus dem HeiligtumHeiligtum soll er nicht hinausgehen und nicht entweihen das HeiligtumHeiligtum seines GottesGottes; denn die WeiheWeihe des Salböls seines GottesGottes ist auf ihm. Ich bin JehovaJehova.12 neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am Jehovah.
13 Und derselbe soll ein Weib in ihrer JungfrauschaftJungfrauschaft nehmen.13 And he shall take a wife in her virginity.
14 Eine Witwe und eine Verstoßene und eine Entehrte, eine HureHure, diese soll er nicht nehmen; sondern eine JungfrauJungfrau aus seinen Völkern soll er zum Weibe nehmen.14 A widow, or a divorced woman, or a dishonoured one, a harlot, these shall he not take; but he shall take as wife a virgin from among his peoples.
15 Und er soll seinen Samen nicht entweihen unter seinen Völkern; denn ich bin JehovaJehova, der ihn heiligt.15 And he shall not profane his seed among his peoples; for I am Jehovah who do hallow him.
16 Und JehovaJehova redete zu MoseMose und sprach:16 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
17 Rede zu AaronAaron und sprich: Jemand von deinem Samen bei ihren GeschlechternGeschlechtern, an dem ein Gebrechen ist, soll nicht herzunahen, um das BrotBrot seines GottesGottes darzubringen;17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Any of thy seed throughout their generations that hath any defect, shall not approach to present the bread of his God;
18 denn jedermann, an dem ein Gebrechen ist, soll nicht herzunahen, es sei ein blinder MannMann oder ein lahmer oder ein stumpfnasiger2, oder der ein Glied zu lang hat,18 for whatever man hath a defect, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or one limb longer than the other,
19 oder ein MannMann, der einen Bruch am Fuße oder einen Bruch an der Hand hat,19 or a man that is broken-footed, or broken-handed,
20 oder ein Höckeriger oder ein Zwerg3, oder der einen Flecken an seinem Auge4 hat, oder der die Krätze oder Flechte, oder der zerdrückte Hoden hat.20 or hump-backed, or withered, or that hath a spot in his eye, or hath the itch, or scabs, or his testicles broken.
21 Jedermann vom Samen AaronsAarons, des PriestersPriesters, der ein Gebrechen hat, soll nicht herzutreten, die FeueropferFeueropfer JehovasJehovas darzubringen; ein Gebrechen ist an ihm, er soll nicht herzutreten, das BrotBrot seines GottesGottes darzubringen.21 No man of the seed of Aaron the priest that hath defect shall come near to present Jehovah's offerings by fire: he hath a defect; he shall not come near to present the bread of his God.
22 Das BrotBrot seines GottesGottes von dem Hochheiligen und von dem Heiligen mag er essen;22 The bread of his God, of the most holy and of the holy, shall he eat;
23 allein zum VorhangVorhang soll er nicht kommen, und zum AltarAltar soll er nicht nahen, denn ein Gebrechen ist an ihm, daß er nicht meine Heiligtümer5 entweihe; denn ich bin JehovaJehova, der sie heiligt.23 only he shall not come in unto the veil, nor shall he draw near unto the altar; for he hath a defect: that he profane not my sanctuaries; for I am Jehovah who do hallow them.
24 Und so redete MoseMose zu AaronAaron und zu seinen Söhnen und zu allen KindernKindern IsraelIsrael.24 And Moses told it to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel.
