6 Und EsauEsau nahm seine Weiber und seine Söhne und seine Töchter und alle Seelen seines Hauses, und seine Herden und all sein Vieh1 und all sein Besitztum, das er im Lande KanaanKanaan erworben hatte, und zog in ein Land2, von seinem BruderBruder JakobJakob hinweg.6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the souls of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his possessions, that he had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went into a country away from his brother Jacob.
7 Denn ihre Habe war zu groß, daß sie hätten beieinander wohnen können, und das Land ihres Aufenthaltes vermochte sie nicht zu tragen wegen ihrer Herden.7 For their property was too great for them to dwell together, and the land where they were sojourners could not bear them, because of their cattle.
8 Und EsauEsau wohnte auf dem Gebirge SeirGebirge Seir. EsauEsau, das ist EdomEdom.8 Thus Esau dwelt in mount Seir; Esau is Edom.
9 Und dies sind die GeschlechterGeschlechter EsausEsaus, des VatersVaters von EdomEdom, auf dem Gebirge SeirGebirge Seir.9 And these are the generations of Esau, the father of Edom, in mount Seir.
10 Dies sind die NamenNamen der Söhne EsausEsaus: EliphasEliphas, der SohnSohn AdasAdas, des Weibes EsausEsaus; ReghuelReghuel, der SohnSohn BasmathsBasmaths, des Weibes EsausEsaus.10 These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz, the son of Adah the wife of Esau; Reuel, the son of Basmath the wife of Esau.
11 Und die Söhne des EliphasEliphas waren: TemanTeman, OmarOmar, ZephoZepho und GaetamGaetam und KenasKenas.11 --And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 Und TimnaTimna war das Kebsweib des EliphasEliphas, des SohnesSohnes EsausEsaus, und sie gebar dem EliphasEliphas AmalekAmalek. Das sind die Söhne AdasAdas, des Weibes EsausEsaus.12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son, and she bore Amalek to Eliphaz. These are the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
13 Und dies sind die Söhne ReghuelsReghuels: NachathNachath und SerachSerach, SchammaSchamma und MissaMissa. Das waren die Söhne BasmathsBasmaths, des Weibes EsausEsaus.13 --And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath and Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah. These are the sons of Basmath Esau's wife.
14 Und dies waren die Söhne OholibamasOholibamas, der TochterTochter AnasAnas, der TochterTochter ZibeonsZibeons, des Weibes EsausEsaus: sie gebar dem EsauEsau JeghuschJeghusch, JaghlamJaghlam und KorachKorach.14 --And these are the sons of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bore to Esau Jeush and Jaalam and Korah.
15 Dies sind die Fürsten3 der Söhne EsausEsaus: Die Söhne EliphasEliphas', des Erstgeborenen EsausEsaus: der FürstFürst TemanTeman, der FürstFürst OmarOmar, der FürstFürst ZephoZepho, der FürstFürst KenasKenas,15 These are the chiefs of the sons of Esau. The sons of Eliphaz, the firstborn of Esau: chief Teman, chief Omar, chief Zepho, chief Kenaz,
16 der FürstFürst KorachKorach, der FürstFürst GaetamGaetam, der FürstFürst AmalekAmalek. Das sind die Fürsten des ReghuelReghuel im Lande EdomEdom; das sind die Söhne BasmathsBasmaths, des Weibes EsausEsaus.17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son: chief Nahath, chief Zerah, chief Shammah, chief Mizzah: these are the chiefs of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Basmath Esau's wife.
18 Und dies sind die Söhne OholibamasOholibamas, des Weibes EsausEsaus: der FürstFürst JeghuschJeghusch, der FürstFürst JaghlamJaghlam, der FürstFürst KorachKorach. Das sind die Fürsten OholibamasOholibamas, der TochterTochter AnasAnas, des Weibes EsausEsaus.18 --And these are the sons of Oholibamah Esau's wife: chief Jeush, chief Jaalam, chief Korah; these are the chiefs of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
19 Das sind die Söhne EsausEsaus und das ihre Fürsten; das ist EdomEdom.19 These are the sons of Esau, and these their chiefs: he is Edom.
20 Dies sind die Söhne SeirsSeirs, des HoritersHoriters, die Bewohner des Landes: LotanLotan und SchobalSchobal und ZibeonZibeon und AnaAna20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitant of the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

22 Und die Söhne LotansLotans waren: HoriHori und HemamHemam, und die Schwester LotansLotans: TimnaTimna.22 --And the sons of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.
23 Und dies sind die Söhne SchobalsSchobals: AlwanAlwan und ManachathManachath und EbalEbal, SchephoSchepho und OnamOnam.23 --And these are the sons of Shobal: Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
24 Und dies sind die Söhne ZibeonsZibeons: AjaAja und AnaAna. 32 BelaBela, der SohnSohn BeorsBeors, wurde König in EdomEdom; und der Name seiner Stadt war DinhabaDinhaba.32 And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33 Und BelaBela starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt JobabJobab, der SohnSohn SerachsSerachs, aus BozraBozra.33 And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
34 Und JobabJobab starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt HuschamHuscham, aus dem Lande der TemaniterTemaniter.34 And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
35 Und HuschamHuscham starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt HadadHadad, der SohnSohn BedadsBedads, welcher MidianMidian schlug im Gefilde MoabsMoabs; und der Name seiner Stadt war AwithAwith.35 And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead. And the name of his city was Avith.

37 Und SamlaSamla starb; und es ward König an seiner Statt SaulSaul aus RechobothRechoboth am Strome.37 And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.

41 der FürstFürst OholibamaOholibama, der FürstFürst ElaEla, der FürstFürst PinonPinon,41 chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,

43 der FürstFürst MagdielMagdiel, der FürstFürst IramIram. Das sind die Fürsten von EdomEdom nach ihren Wohnsitzen, im Lande ihres Eigentums. Das ist EsauEsau, der VaterVater EdomsEdoms.43 chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom, according to their dwelling-places in the land of their possession. This is Esau, the father of Edom.
