23 Und die Kinder des halben Stammes Manasse wohnten im Lande, von Basan bis Baal-Hermon und bis zum Senir⁶ und bis zum Berge Hermon; sie waren zahlreich.

23 And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Bashan as far as Baal-Hermon and Senir, and mount Hermon; they were many.

24 Und dies waren die Häupter ihrer Vaterhäuser: nämlich Epher und Jischi und Eliel und Asriel und Jeremja und Hodawja und Jachdiel, tapfere Kriegsmänner, Männer von Namen, Häupter ihrer Vaterhäuser. -

24 And these were the heads of their fathers' houses: Epher, and Jishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, heads of their fathers' houses.

25 Aber sie handelten treulos gegen den Gott ihrer Väter und hurten den Göttern der Völker des Landes nach, welche Gott vor ihnen vertilgt hatte.

25 And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them.

26 Da erweckte der Gott Israels den Geist Puls, des Königs von Assyrien, und den Geist Tilgath-Pilnesers, des Königs von Assyrien, und er führte sie hinweg, die Rubeniter und die Gaditer und den halben Stamm Manasse, und brachte sie nach Halach und an den Habor und nach Hara⁷ und an den Strom von Gosan⁸ bis auf diesen Tag.

26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-Pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, --unto this day.

27 Die Söhne Levis⁹ waren: Gersom, Kehath und Merari.

1 The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

28 Und die Söhne Kehaths: Amram, Jizhar und Hebron und Ussiel.

2 And the sons of Kohath: Amram, Jizhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

29 Und die Söhne Amrams: Aaron und Mose, und Mirjam. Und die Söhne Aarons: Nadab und Abihu, Eleasar und Ithamar.

3 And the children of Amram: Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. And the sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

30 Eleasar zeugte Pinehas; Pinehas zeugte Abischua,

4 Eleazar begot Phinehas; Phinehas begot Abishua,

31 und Abischua zeugte Bukki, und Bukki zeugte Ussi,

5 and Abishua begot Bukki, and Bukki begot Uzzi,

32 und Ussi zeugte Serachja, und Serachja zeugte Merajoth;

6 and Uzzi begot Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begot Meraioth;

33 Merajoth zeugte Amarja, und Amarja zeugte Ahitub,

7 Meraioth begot Amariah, and Amariah begot Ahitub,

34 und Ahitub zeugte Zadok, und Zadok zeugte Achimaaz,

8 and Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Ahimaaz,

35 und Achimaaz zeugte Asarja, und Asarja zeugte Jochanan,

9 and Ahimaaz begot Azariah, and Azariah begot Johanan,

36 und Jochanan zeugte Asarja; dieser ist es, der den Priesterdienst ausübte in dem Hause, welches Salomo zu Jerusalem gebaut hatte.

10 and Johanan begot Azariah (he is it that exercised the priesthood in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem);

37 Und Asarja zeugte Amarja, und Amarja zeugte Ahitub,

11 and Azariah begot Amariah, and Amariah begot Ahitub,

38 und Ahitub zeugte Zadok, und Zadok zeugte Schallum,

12 and Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Shallum,

39 und Schallum zeugte Hilkija, und Hilkija zeugte Asarja,

13 and Shallum begot Hilkijah, and Hilkijah begot Azariah,

40 und Asarja zeugte Seraja, und Seraja zeugte Jehozadak;

14 and Azariah begot Seraiah, and Seraiah begot Jehozadak,

41 und Jehozadak zog mit, als Jehova Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezar wegführte.

15 and Jehozadak went away, when Jehovah carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
