1 Und die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael, nach ihrer Zahl, die Häupter der VäterVäter und die Obersten über tausend und über hundert, und ihre VorsteherVorsteher, die dem König dienten in allen Angelegenheiten der AbteilungenAbteilungen, der antretenden und der abtretenden, Monat für Monat, für alle MonateMonate des JahresJahres; eine jede AbteilungAbteilung zählte vierundzwanzigtausend MannMann.1 And these are the children of Israel after their number, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in every matter of the divisions, which came in and went out month by month throughout the months of the year; in every division were twenty-four thousand.

3 Er war von den Söhnen des PerezPerez, das HauptHaupt aller Heerobersten für den ersten Monat.3 He was of the children of Pherez, the head of all the captains of the hosts for the first month.
4 Und über die AbteilungAbteilung des zweiten Monats war DodaiDodai, der Achochiter1; und von seiner AbteilungAbteilung war MiklothMikloth Oberaufseher2; und in seiner AbteilungAbteilung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.4 And over the division of the second month was Dodai the Ahohite; and in his division was Mikloth ruler; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
5 Der Oberste des dritten Heeres für den dritten Monat war BenajaBenaja, der SohnSohn JojadasJojadas, des Krondieners3, als HauptHaupt; und in seiner AbteilungAbteilung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.5 The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah (the son of Jehoiada, a principal officer): he was head; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
6 Dieser BenajaBenaja war ein HeldHeld unter den Dreißig und über die Dreißig; und von seiner AbteilungAbteilung war AmmisabadAmmisabad, sein SohnSohn, Oberaufseher.6 This Benaiah was a mighty man among the thirty, and above the thirty; and in his division was Ammizabad his son.
7 Der vierte für den vierten Monat war AsaelAsael, der BruderBruder JoabsJoabs, und SebadjaSebadja, sein SohnSohn, nach ihm; und in seiner AbteilungAbteilung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.7 The fourth for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
8 Der fünfte für den fünften Monat war der Oberste SchamhuthSchamhuth, der JisrachiterJisrachiter; und in seiner AbteilungAbteilung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.8 The fifth for the fifth month was the captain Shamhuth the Jizrahite; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
9 Der sechste für den sechsten Monat war IraIra, der SohnSohn IkkeschIkkesch', der TekoiterTekoiter; und in seiner AbteilungAbteilung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.9 The sixth for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
10 Der siebente für den siebenten Monat war HelezHelez, der PeloniterPeloniter, von den KindernKindern EphraimEphraim; und in seiner AbteilungAbteilung waren vierundzwanzigtausend.10 The seventh for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

23 Und DavidDavid nahm ihre Zahl von zwanzig Jahren an und darunter nicht auf; denn JehovaJehova hatte gesagt, daß er IsraelIsrael mehren würde wie die Sterne des HimmelsHimmels.23 And David took not their number from twenty years old and under; for Jehovah had said he would increase Israel as the stars of heaven.
24 JoabJoab, der SohnSohn der ZerujaZeruja, hatte zu zählen begonnen, aber nicht vollendet; und es kam deshalb ein ZornZorn über IsraelIsrael; und so wurde die Zahl in die Aufzählung der Jahrbücher des Königs DavidDavid nicht aufgenommen.24 Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he did not finish; and there fell wrath for it upon Israel; and the number was not put in the account of the chronicles of king David.
25 Und über die Schätze4 des Königs war AsmawethAsmaweth, der SohnSohn AdielsAdiels. Und über die Vorräte auf dem Felde, in den Städten und in den DörfernDörfern und in den Türmen, war JonathanJonathan, der SohnSohn UssijasUssijas.25 And over the king's treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel; and over the storehouses in the country, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the towers was Jonathan the son of Uzziah.
26 Und über die Feldarbeiter beim Landbau: EsriEsri, der SohnSohn KelubsKelubs.26 And over them that worked in the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub.
27 Und über die WeinbergeWeinberge: SimeiSimei, der RamathiterRamathiter; und über den Ertrag der WeinbergeWeinberge, über die Weinvorräte5: SabdiSabdi, der SchiphmiterSchiphmiter.27 And over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite; and over what was in the vineyards of stores of wine was Zabdi the Shiphmite:
28 Und über die Olivenbäume und die Sykomoren, welche in der Niederung6 waren: Baal-HananBaal-Hanan, der GederiterGederiter; und über die Ölvorräte: JoasJoas.28 and over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowland was Baal-hanan the Gederite; and over the cellars of oil was Joash.
29 Und über die RinderRinder, die in SaronSaron weideten: SchitraiSchitrai, der SaroniterSaroniter; und über die RinderRinder in den Niederungen: SchaphatSchaphat, der SohnSohn AdlaisAdlais;29 And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite; and over the herds in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai.
30 und über die KameleKamele: ObilObil, der IsmaeliterIsmaeliter; und über die Eselinnen: JechdejaJechdeja, der MeronothiterMeronothiter;30 And over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite; and over the asses was Jehdiah the Meronothite.
31 und über das Kleinvieh: JasisJasis, der HageriterHageriter. Alle diese waren AufseherAufseher über die Habe des Königs DavidDavid.31 And over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagarite. All these were comptrollers of the substance which was king David's.
32 Und JonathanJonathan, der Oheim7 DavidsDavids, war RatRat; er war ein einsichtiger MannMann und ein Schriftgelehrter. Und JechielJechiel, der SohnSohn HakmonisHakmonis, war bei den Söhnen des Königs.32 And Jonathan, David's uncle, was counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe; and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons;
33 Und AhitophelAhitophel war RatRat des Königs; und HusaiHusai, der ArkiterArkiter, war Freund des Königs;33 and Ahithophel was the king's counsellor; and Hushai the Archite was the king's friend;
34 und nach AhitophelAhitophel war JojadaJojada, der SohnSohn BenajasBenajas, und AbjatharAbjathar8. Und JoabJoab war Heeroberster des Königs.34 and after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar; and Joab was captain of the king's army.
