1 Und DavidDavid sprach: Dieses hier soll das HausHaus JehovasJehovas GottesGottes sein, und dies der AltarAltar zum BrandopferBrandopfer für IsraelIsrael.1 And David said, This is the house of Jehovah Elohim, and this is the altar of burnt-offering for Israel.
2 Und DavidDavid befahl, daß man die FremdlingeFremdlinge versammeln solle, die im Lande IsraelIsrael waren; und er stellte sie an als SteinhauerSteinhauer, um Quadersteine für den Bau des Hauses GottesGottes zu hauen.2 And David commanded to collect the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.
3 Und DavidDavid bereitete EisenEisen in Menge für die NägelNägel zu den Torflügeln und für die Klammern1; und Erz in Menge, es war nicht zu wägen;3 And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the joists, and brass in abundance without weight;
4 und Zedernholz ohne Zahl; denn die ZidonierZidonier und die Tyrer brachten Zedernholz in Menge zu DavidDavid.4 and cedar-trees innumerable; for the Zidonians and they of Tyre brought cedar-wood in abundance to David.
5 Und DavidDavid sprach: SalomoSalomo, mein SohnSohn, ist noch jung2 und zart; und das HausHaus, das dem JehovaJehova zu erbauen ist, soll überaus groß werden, zum NamenNamen und zum Ruhm in allen Ländern3: so will ich denn das Nötige für ihn bereiten. Und so bereitete DavidDavid Vorrat in Menge vor seinem TodeTode.5 For David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Jehovah must be exceeding great in fame and in beauty in all lands: I will therefore make preparation for it. And David prepared abundantly before his death.
6 Und er rief seinen SohnSohn SalomoSalomo und gebot ihm, JehovaJehova, dem GottGott IsraelsIsraels, ein HausHaus zu bauen.6 And he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for Jehovah the God of Israel.
7 Und DavidDavid sprach zu SalomoSalomo: Mein SohnSohn! ich selbst4 hatte in meinem Herzen, dem NamenNamen JehovasJehovas, meines GottesGottes, ein HausHaus zu bauen.7 And David said to Solomon, As for me, my son, I was minded to build a house unto the name of Jehovah my God.
8 Aber das WortWort JehovasJehovas geschah zu mir, indem er sprach: Du hast BlutBlut in Menge vergossen und große KriegeKriege geführt; du sollst meinem NamenNamen kein HausHaus bauen, denn viel BlutBlut hast du vor mir zur ErdeErde vergossen.8 But the word of Jehovah came to me saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build a house unto my name, for thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
9 Siehe, ein SohnSohn wird dir geboren werden, der wird ein MannMann der RuheRuhe sein, und ich werde ihm RuheRuhe schaffen vor allen seinen Feinden ringsum. Denn Salomo5 wird sein Name sein, und Frieden und RuheRuhe werde ich IsraelIsrael geben in seinen Tagen.9 Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Solomon, and in his days I will give peace and quietness unto Israel.
10 Der wird meinem NamenNamen ein HausHaus bauen; und er soll mir SohnSohn, und ich will ihm VaterVater sein; und ich werde den ThronThron seines Königtums über IsraelIsrael befestigenbefestigen auf ewig. -10 He shall build a house unto my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
11 Nun, mein SohnSohn, JehovaJehova sei mit dir, daß es dir gelinge, und du das HausHaus JehovasJehovas, deines GottesGottes, bauest, so wie er von dir geredet hat!11 Now, my son, Jehovah be with thee, that thou mayest prosper, and build the house of Jehovah thy God, as he has said of thee.
12 Nur gebe dir JehovaJehova EinsichtEinsicht und Verstand, und er bestelle dich über IsraelIsrael, und zwar um das GesetzGesetz JehovasJehovas, deines GottesGottes, zu beobachten!12 Only, Jehovah give thee wisdom and understanding, and place thee over Israel, and to keep the law of Jehovah thy God.
13 Dann wird es dir gelingen, wenn du darauf achtest, die SatzungenSatzungen und die Rechte zu tun, welche JehovaJehova dem MoseMose für IsraelIsrael geboten hat. Sei stark und mutig, fürchte dich nicht und erschrick nicht!13 Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to perform the statutes and ordinances which Jehovah commanded Moses for Israel: be strong and courageous; fear not, neither be dismayed.
14 Und siehe, in meiner Mühsal6 habe ich für das HausHaus JehovasJehovas hunderttausend TalenteTalente GoldGold und tausendmal tausend TalenteTalente SilberSilber bereitet; und das Erz und das EisenEisen ist nicht zu wägen, denn es ist in Menge vorhanden; auch HolzHolz und SteineSteine habe ich bereitet, und du wirst noch mehr hinzufügen.14 And behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Jehovah a hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight, for it is in abundance; and timber and stone have I prepared; and thou shalt add to it.
15 Und WerkleuteWerkleute sind bei dir in Menge: SteinhauerSteinhauer und Arbeiter in Stein und HolzHolz, und allerlei Verständige in allerlei Arbeit;15 And there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of skilful men for every kind of work.
16 das GoldGold, das SilberSilber und das Erz und das EisenEisen ist nicht zu zählen. Mache dich auf und handle; und JehovaJehova sei mit dir!16 Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing and Jehovah be with thee.
17 Und DavidDavid gebot allen Obersten7 IsraelsIsraels, seinem SohneSohne SalomoSalomo beizustehen:17 And David commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
18 Ist nicht JehovaJehova, euer GottGott, mit euch, und hat er euch nicht RuheRuhe geschafft ringsumher? Denn er hat die Bewohner des Landes in meine Hand gegeben, und das Land ist unterjocht vor JehovaJehova und vor seinem Volke.18 Is not Jehovah your God with you? and has he not given you rest on every side? for he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Jehovah, and before his people.
19 Richtet nun euer HerzHerz und eure SeeleSeele darauf, JehovaJehova, euren GottGott, zu suchen; und machet euch auf und bauet das HeiligtumHeiligtum JehovasJehovas GottesGottes, daß ihr die LadeLade des BundesBundes JehovasJehovas und die Geräte des HeiligtumsHeiligtums GottesGottes in das HausHaus bringet, welches dem NamenNamen JehovasJehovas gebaut werden soll.19 Now set your heart and your soul to seek Jehovah your God; and arise and build the sanctuary of Jehovah Elohim, to bring the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and the vessels of the sanctuary of God into the house that is to be built unto the name of Jehovah.
